Raiders | Report: Raiders may release Rhodes Thu, Oct 25 @ 11:27 AM EST |==================================================| 6. Stock Up / Down |==================================================| * STOCK UP: RB Jesse Chatman (MIA) Chatman was the hottest name on the waiver wire this week. For the season Chatman has managed 20 carries for 117 yards and 1 TD on the ground and added 11 catches for 72 yards through the air. Those are pretty good numbers. Considering that he's replacing the #1 RB in fantasy football, he should be the hottest RB on the waiver wire this week, so those that bid on RBs, get ready! Then again, you should not expect him to keep up Ronnie Brown's pace. He should be a solid #2 RB this week, but after that, perhaps a marginal #2 RB. * STOCK UP: RB Marshawn Lynch (BUF) Rookie Marshawn Lynch is really starting to heat up. He now ranks as the #11 fantasy RB and has a few very favorable match-ups on the horizon. * STOCK DOWN: RB Shaun Alexander (SEA) Shaun Alexander is looking older and older each and every week. We are about ready to call him what he is, a 3rd fantasy RB right now. That means that Maurice Morris and Leonard Weaver, who is really more of a Full Back at 6-0 and 250 pounds, will likely start to see more and more action. We expect Weaver to be the short-yardage banger and Morris to start to see some action as a 3rd down back after the bye. Then again, maybe Alexander just needs a break to get back into the swing of things... we doubt it, but there's still a glimmer of hope! He's been held without TD now for 4 straight weeks, here's his box score... > 25 carries, 78 rush yards, 1 catch, 5 yards > 11 carries, 25 rush yards, 3 catches, 7 yards > 14 carries, 35 rush yards > 19 carries, 47 rush yards, 1 catch, 18 yards * STOCK UP: WR Mushin Muhammad (CHI) Muhammad is starting to heat up now that Brian Griese is in the lineup. Muhammad caught a TD against Detroit back in week 4, but has also added two more TDs since then. Moose will see more action in the Bears offense with a more accurate passer at the helm and with a shorter passing game being played by Da Bears. * STOCK DOWN: WR Mushin Muhammad (IND) Harrison's knee injury has really slowed him down. Last week he made a few token catches, but he looked far from right. This week he's sidelined completely. Perhaps the Colts are trying to get him healthy for next week. At any rate, his stock is at an all-time low, so if you're looking to swing a deal for an injured WR that might recover in time for your fantasy playoff run, then target Harrison. The reward might be worth the risk. |==================================================| 7.
