What does Warner's Retirement mean ...

To me it drops the value of Fitz quite a bit and Bolden slightly more (he slipped alot due to injuries) Upgrade the RB corp and the pretty boy QB who is following him. He could make a good QB2

Leinert has proven that he's not worthy to be an NFL QB. Even with those potent weapons, he's shown nothing but ineptitude. Warner retiring is a huge blow to that entire offense, unless something happens during free agency to bring in at least a competent QB.

But he needed to be gone from there. Gone are the days when Delhomme was a really good draft in the 2nd half of the draft while you were getting studs at the other positions. His performance the last 2 years has been dismal. I don't expect him to play again as anything other than a backup.

Since there is no cap, there is no dead money. They needed to do this now because 1) Delhomme is finished and 2) They can't afford to have a new CBA reached, with possibly a smaller or same size cap (if the players end up with less than the 60% piece of the pie they got last year) and end up stuck with him wasting a roster spot for 2 more years as a backup or killing their team as an obscenely overpaid starting interception machine.

I was kind've shocked too because of how loyal they are there, but it was necessary.

And Boldin moves to Baltimore. He's gone, Walter Jones is gone, Nate Burleson is gone, Kurt Warner is gone, Karlos Dansby is good as gone, Antrel Rolle is gone, ect..

Basically, 49ers win the west in 2010 or I'll kiss your mother in law.
