Wondering which teams had the best overall draft? While it is impossible to tell at this early stage, the Commish thought it would be interesting to use the method that Jimmy Johnson perfected to ascribe a specific point value to each position in the draft in hopes of translating draft selections to point values.
What we have done here is assigned a "Ranked Value" associated with where we have the players ranked. Meanwhile, we have also assigned a "Selected Value" associated with the spot at which the player was ultimately selected in the draft. The list below represents each team's cumulative differential between where we had their draftees projected to go, and where they were actually drafted. Clearly, using this formula, the Pittsburgh Steelers got the most bang for their buck with the totality of their individual selections.
